MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 12, 1973

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 P.M. by Chairman Foldy. Also
present were Aldermen Czarnecki, Wallner, Mayor Gottfried and Police
Chief Kraus.
. Ald. Foldy moved for the approval of minutes of previous meeting held
on June 28, 1973, as mailed. Seconded by Ald. Wallner, motion carried.
The committee instructed Mayor Gottfried to write to the American
Automobile Association requesting a study and a recommendation of
traffic controls on S.T.H. 24 at the intersections of that highway
with Lannon Drive and Tess Corners Drive.
The installation of street lights on Highway 24 from Lannon Drive east
to Bay Lane Drive was discussed. Ald. Wallner moved that the committee
recommend that Mayor Gottfried sign the agreement with the Wisconsin
Electric Power Company as authorized by the Council. Seconded by Ald.
Czarnecki, motion carried.
Ald. Wallner moved that the committee request Mayor Gottfried to
correspond with the Wisconsin State Highway Dept. regarding the
feasibility of adding a lane to Highway 24 from Lannon Drive east to
• a point beyond Bay Lane Drive on each side. Seconded by Ald. Czarnecki,
motion carried.
The following Muskego Fire Dept. fire runs were received, reviewed and
placed on file:
37 runs from #1 from 1/11/73 to 6/23/73
34 runs from #2 from 1/11/73 to 6/28/73
The committee reviewed and placed on file the Humane Officer Reports
from 1/l/73 through 6/30/73.
Following considerable discussion, Ald. Wallner moved that the committee
authorize the Chief of Police to request funds from the Wisconsin Dept.
of Criminal Justice which would reflect a change in department structure
to include community officers and police agents. Seconded by Ald.
Czarnecki, motion carried.
Ald. Wallner moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Czarnecki, motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
