PSM19730215PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO • MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 15, 1973 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Cole at 7:15 P.M. Also present were Aldermen DeBack, Knudsen and Foldy and Mayor Gottfried. lkRepresentatives of the Tess Corners Fire Department appeared to discuss the building of a fire station in the Durham Hill area. The discussion was centered around possible available sites in the area for the fire 44 station. • • Police Dept. will check further on complaints of trucks using Tans Drive. The committee reviewed request from the Police Dept. to include money in the Capital Budget to hire an architectural firm for the purpose of drafting preliminary drawings for the construction of a proposed Muskego Police Dept. Building. Ald. DeBack moved to recommend to the Finance Committee and the Capital Budgeting Committee to include the necessary funds in the amount of $1,200.00 in the 1975 Capital Budget to hire an architectural firm for the purpose of drafting preliminary drawings for the construction of a new Police Department building. Seconded by Ald. Cole. Motion carried. The Police Department is requested to study Durham Drive for a more uniform speed limit. The committee reviewed the January report from the Police Department. Twenty two (22) rescue reports were reviewed for the period of December 16, 1972 to January 16, 1973. The committee recommended 20 for payment and billing and two (2) for payment only. Ald. DeBack moved to recommend to the Finance Committee to authorize to expend $150.00 per new squad unit for a maintenance contract from American Motors. Seconded by Ald. Cole. Motion carried. Ald.
