PSM19721116PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO • MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 16, 1972 Chairman Cole called the meeting to order at 7:20 P.M. Also present were Aldermen DeBack and Foldy, Mayor Gottfried and Chief Kraus. The committee reviewed a report on the training program for the Muskego Emergency Police. Same placed on file. Michael James Bartell was recommended for acceptance for the Emergency Police by the Police Dept. and also by the Public Safety Committee. Following the review of the request for "Stop" signs on Parkland Drive the committee felt that no action was necessary due to the short inter- secting streets. The request for a "Stop" sign on Coleridge Ct. was reviewed. Ald. DeBack moved that the Public Safety Committee recommend to the Common Council that a resolution be adopted indicating that Coleridge Court receive a "Yield" sign to control traffic before it enters Emerson Drive. Seconded by Ald. Cole, motion carried. A communication was received from the Police Dept. that a study by the Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation is on the list for the intersection of S.T.H. 24 and C.T. H. "Y". The Committee discussed the request by Ald. Knudsen concerning parking for ice fishermen on Oak Court and felt there is no way the committee could reserve parking for ice fishermen on any public street. A communication was received from City Attorney Buckley in regard to the Fire Prevention Code. Same was reviewed and placed on file. Ald. DeBack moved to accept the Police Reports from September and October and place them on file. Seconded by Ald. Cole. Motion carried. Ald. Cole moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. DeBack.
