• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 28, 1972
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Cole at 7:30 P.M.
Also present were Aldermen Foldy, Knudsen, Ford and DeBack, Mayor
Gottfried and Police Chief Kraus.
The committee discussed whether
or not the city
was supplying
proper

water patrolling on Lake Denoon.
No action was
taken at this
time.
The committee reviewed applications for the newly established Emergency
Police Unit. Ald. DeBack moved to recommend eleven of the applications
for appointment by the Mayor. Seconded by Ald. Ford. Motion carried.
The committee discussed the changing of some of the street names in
the city. Chairman Cole read a letter to be sent to persons living on
streets that are anticipated to have their street name changed.
A letter was read from Mr. Miles Theurich regarding traffic control on
the corner of Emerson and Coleridge Ct. The replacement of dead end road
sign was referred to the Public Works Committee.
Chief Kraus discussed the possibility of sending Lt. Kass to Wisconsin
• Subversive Seminar. Ald. DeBack moved to recommend to the Finance
Committee that Lt. Kass be allowed to attend the Wisconsin Subversive
Seminar. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried.
Fifty four rescue calls from 7/16/72 to 9/15/72 were reviewed. Fifty one
(51) were recommended for payment and billing and three (3) for payment
only.
Ald. Foldy suggested that the Safety Committee recommend that emergency
road barricades be purchased for use by the Police Dept. and the Public
Works Dept. Ald. Ford moved to recommend that the Public Works Dept.
purchase some highway barricades. Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion
carried.
Ald. Knudsen requested that a street light be placed at the end of Gold
Drive and one be placed at the intersection of Luehring Dr. and Lochcrest
Dr. The committee had previously denied the request for a light at the
end of Gold Drive and the committee agreed to deny the placement of a
light at the intersection of Luehring Dr. and Lochcrest Dr.
Chief Kraus will contact the State regarding the placement of"speed
zone ahead" sign on S.T.H. "24" west of Tess Corners.
• Ald. Ford moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
