MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 30, 1972
Chairman Sapp called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M.
Also present were Aldermen Schaumberg, Dumke and Foldy, Mayor Gottfried
and Police Chief Kraus.
• The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
Mr. Gerald Mattke and Mr. Gary Ziegler appeared at the meeting to
discuss traffic pattern on Somerset Drive at its intersection with
Hawthorne Rd. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend Council approval
of the placing of a "Stop" sign on the northeast corner on Somerset
Dr. at its intersection with Hawthorne Rd. and thafi an advisory sign
as follows be placed at the apex of the Hill: "HILL - 20 m.p.h.".
Motion seconded by Ald. Dumke and carried.
The Model Parade Ordinance was discussed and Chief Kraus is to propose
a more simple ordinance covering parades.
The organization of the Auxiliary Police was discussed by the committee.
• Ald. Schaumberg moved that the proposed upgrading of Juvenile Officer's
salary be tabled. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.

Ald. Dumke moved that the request for the widening of Garnet Drive
be referred to the Public Works Committee without a recommendation.
Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to table the recommendation dated March 2, 1972, re-
garding the parking of commercial vehicles on Martin Drive. Seconded
by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Ald. Sapp moved to recommend Council approval of the installation of
a street light at the corner of Parkland Drive and S.T.H. 24. Seconded
by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Nineteen Tess Corners Rescue Reports for period from 2/29/72 thru
3/13/72 were received and reviewed. Fifteen (15) were recommended for
payment and billing and four (4) for payment only.
Committee to meet with representatives of the Woman's Club one half
hour prior to the beginning of the next meeting.
Ald. Sapp moved to adjourn, seconded with Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 8:35 P.M.
