• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 13, 1972
The meeting was called to order at 7:15 P.M. by Chairman Sapp. Also
present were Aldermen Dumke, Schaumberg, Mayor Gottfried and Police
Chief Kraus.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
AW�The Auxiliary Police Department was discussed. Chief Kraus presented a re-
organization proposal for study. It was the committee's decision to for-
ward the proposal :to the Auxiliary for their review and reaction.
The committee referred the request for a street light at the end of
Woodland Ct. by Louis Sablich to the Sewer Committee. Ald. Dumke moved,
as seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, that the Safety Committee does not
object to the installation of the light on the pole located on the
street right-of-way, however, not at any city expense. Motion carried.
The Committee requested that the Police Department do a complete study
of the intersections of Somerset and Longfellow and also the intersection
of Somerset and Hawthorne and to give special consideration to the
possible use of advisory signs.
• Ald. Dumke moved, as seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, that the Council
request a study by the State Highway Department of the speed limits on
S.T.H. 24 from the Milwaukee County line to our west boundary line. Motion
carried.
Ald. Dumke moved, as seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, to recommend to the
Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee to consider an overnight parking
ordinance for commercial vehicles. Motion carried.
The December Police Department Report was reviewed and placed on file.
Twenty (20) Tess Corners Rescue Reports from 11/16/71 thru 12/14/71
were reviewed. Nineteen were recommended for payment and billing and
one (1) for payment only.
The Muskego Fire Department Report.of 46 fires from 2/15/71 thru 12/16/71
were reviewed. Report placed on file.
Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. The meeting
adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
