PSM19710930PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 30, 1971 The minutes of the previous meeting held on September 16, 1971, were reviewed and the sixth paragraph was corrected to read 35 mph on Field Drive instead of 40 mph. The Committee discussed the present status of the Muskego Auxiliary Police and representatives Merath and Morris will be invited to attend a Safety Committee meeting in the near future. Ald. Schaumberg moved that the proposed ordinances concerning parades and residential picketing be deferred until a later meeting. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. The curve on Woods Road in the vicinity of Sandy Beach Drive was discussed. Ald. Dumke moved to have the Public Works Department place advisory speed signs in this area. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved to refer the matter of the "No Parking" restrictions • on Boxhorn Drive to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried. • A recommendation from the Police Dept. suggesting a proposed ordinance for the fencing of inground pools was received. The Committee will again review the matter at the next meeting. Zoning Officer Lee to secure information as to similar ordinances of neighboring municipalities. Twenty one (21) Tess Corners Rescue Reports were received and reviewed. All twenty one were recommended for payment and billing. The Committee reviewed the Building Inspector's 1972 Budget. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend that the Finance Committee consider the budget with the recommendation that the amount for house numbers be changed to $750.00 and the deletion of the petty cash fund, giving a total 1972 Budget amount of $34,945.00. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
