MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 12, 1971
The meeting was called to order at 7:15 P.M. Present were Aldermen
Sapp, Schaumberg and Dumke, Mayor Gottfried, Police Chief Kraus and
Auxiliary Police members William Strerath and Steve Morris. -
The minutes of meeting held on July 29, 1971, were reviewed and placed
on file.
Discussion took place regarding "No Parking" signs on Lions Park
Drive.
The Police Department Report for the month of July was reviewed and
placed on file.
Auxiliary Policemen William Strerath and Steve Morris spoke in behalf
of their group as to its purpose and function within the city.
The Committee discussed and are awaiting Police Traffic Reports on
Somerset, Jewel Crest, Gold, Westwood, Lannon and Field Drives.
• Discussion took place regarding "No Parking" signs on North Shore
Drive. Mayor Gottfried to contact the North Shore Advancement
Association for comments.
The Committee discussed and recommended to the Public Works Committee
that additional speed signs and "Children Present" signs be placed on
Boxhorn Drive.
The Committee is awaiting a recommendation ofthe Police Dept. Survey
regarding "No Parking" restrictions on Boxhorn Dr.
Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Sapp, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
