PSM19710715PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO • MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 15, 1971 Chairman Sapp called the meeting to order at 7:10 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Dumke, Schaumberg and Narlock, Mayor Gottfried and Police Chief Kraus. Several members of the Lake Denoon North Shore Association appeared at the meeting regarding "No Parking" signs along North Shore Drive. Ald. • Schaumberg moved to refer the matter to the Police Dept. for further investigation. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee to rescind Resolution #158-68, 45 mph on Ryan Rd. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried. Ald. Sapp moved to defer action on matter of speed limit on Crowbar Rd. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved for Police Dept. Traffic Study on Westwood Drive from the top of the hill to the curve. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved for Police Dept. Traffic Study on Lannon Drive, North and South of S.T.H. "24" for possible speed reduction to 25 mph. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved to place "Stop" signs in accordance with survey of Hi -View Acres Subdivision. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Matter referred to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee. The Committee decided to view the location of the request for a street light on S. Denoon Rd. and Pt. Denoon. Ald. Sapp moved to defer action on Police Dept. recommendation of placement of "stop" sign on Bay Lane Dr. at its intersection with Woods Road pending receipt of request from the School District. Seconded by Schaumberg. Motion carried. The Police Department Report for the month of June was received and placed on file. The Tess Corners Rescue Reports from May 16th thru June 12th, 1971, were reviewed. Eighteen (18) calls were reported. Fifteen (15) were recommended for payment and billing and three (3) were recommended for payment only. • Ald. Schaumberg moved that the speed limit on Field Dr. be studied by the Police Dept. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. U Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:05 P.M.
