PSM19710415• PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 15, 1971 Chairman Sapp called the meeting to order at 7:20 P.M. Also present were Aldermen DeBack and Foldy. Minutes of previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file. • Chief Utpatel of the Tess Corners Fire Department, Assistant Chief Martin and Delbert Holtz of the Muskego Fire Dept. and Lt. Scholz appeared to discuss proposed bids for radio maintenance for city. Several questions were unresolved, therefore, a representative of the Ken Com Corporation, who is the low bidder, will be invited to the next meeting to be held on April 29, 1971. Eleven (11) Tess Corners Rescue Reports for the period from 2/15/71 to 3/12/71, were received. Nine (9) were approved for payment and billing. Two (2) were approved for payment only. The Police Dept. Report for March was reviewed and placed on file. • Ald. DeBack moved to deny request for street light on the corner of Michi Dr. and Lake Dr. Seconded by Foldy. Motion carried. A request by Police Dept. to strengthen the Junk Car Ordinance as it relates to disposal of junk cars from public property, roads, etc. was reviewed. Lt. Scholz will investigate several area junk dealers to determine interest and cost for removal and storage. He will report at the next meeting. The Committee is requesting a report by the Police Chief concerning the status, present and future, of the Auxiliary Police Force by the next meeting of April 29, 1971. Complaint by Zoning Officer Lee regarding storage of excessive fire- wood, was received and reviewed. No action was taken. Ald. DeBack moved for adjournment. Seconded by Ald. Foldy. Motion carried.
