PSM19710311PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO • MINUTES OF MEETING MARCH 11, 1971 Chairman Sapp called the meeting to order at 7:15 P.M. Also present were Aldermen DeBack,and Foldy, Mayor Gottfried and Lt. Schultz of the Police Department. Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file. • Police Dept. Report for February was reviewed and placed on file. Nineteen (19) Tess Corners Rescue Squad Reports for the period 1/8/71 to 2/14/71 were received. Eighteen (18) were approved for payment and billing and one (1) for payment only. Messrs. E. Arndt and A. Lyons appeared to request a street light for intersection of Lake Drive and Michi Drive. Committee will review for next meeting. The New Berlin Junk Car Ordinance was reviewed. Ald. Sapp will check with Police Dept. and Building Inspector to review where our own ordinance may be weak. • In answer to a request to Police Dept. for recommendation of flashing red light at County Highway "Y" and S.T.H. 24, the State has no intention of placing same. No accident record at this location to justify same. Lt. Schultz presented request for $2,372.00 to place 80 ft. free standing tower and antenna to replace one blown down by high wind. Ald. Sapp suggested that additional bids be secured for this work. Police Dept. will present competitive bids when acquired. Bids from four companies to provide combined maintenance for all of the City's radio equipment was received. No action was taken. Letter from Clark Barry to R. Anderly regarding Parkland Plaza drainage was reviewed and placed on file. Ald. DeBack moved for adjournment. Seconded by Foldy. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
