• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 10, 1970
Ald. DeBack called the meeting to order at 7:15 P.M. Also present
were Mayor Gottfried and Ald. Foldy.
Minutes of previous meeting held August 27, 1970, were reviewed and
placed on file.
Complaint letter from Edw. Pornbian, 5438 S. Egofske Dr., New Berlin,
pertaining to "No Parking" violations on Janesville Rd. during Country
Fair Days was reviewed and placed on file.
Recommendation from Lt. Kass regarding renaming of North Shore Drive
was reviewed and placed on file.
Ald. Dwyer appeared to request "No Trucking" and "Slow - Children Present"
signs at the intersection of Hi -View Drive with North Cape Rd. and
Durham Dr. Ald. DeBack moved to refer to Public Works Committee. Second-
ed by Foldy. Motion carried.
• Ald. Foldy reported that two accidents had occurred during September at
the intersection of Janesville Rd. (Highway 24) with Emerson Dr. and
Kipling Drive.
Ald. Foldy moved that the Committee recommend to the Council that a
reduction in the speed limit from 50 mph to 35 mph be requested from
Highway 100 west through Tess Corners and that consideration be given
to a median strip from the County line to Tess Corners. Seconded by
Ald. DeBack. Motion carried.
Mayor Gottfried reported that New Berlin will place street light at
the intersection of Lowell P. and S.T.H. 24.
The Civil Defense Budget was discussed and placed on file.
Ald. DeBack moved to adjourn. Seconded by Foldy. Motion carried. The
meeting adjourned at 8:40 P.M.
