0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 4, 1970
The meeting was called to order at 8:18 by Chairman O'Connell. Also
present were Aldermen Burgermeister, Wollman, Sapp and DeBack.
The minutes of the previous meeting held on February 18, 1970, were
. reviewed and placed on file.
Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Merath, W191 S7332 Shore Lane, appeared to discuss
their complaints against snowmobilers with the Committee. They
complained of damage to two trees, excessive noise at late hours,
children of approximately 6 to 7 years of age operating snowmobiles
and trespassing on private property. Chairman O'Connell advised the
Meraths that the City was considering a Trespass Ordinance which
should satisfy a portion of the problems. He further advised that
the State will undoubtedly have restrictive legislation regulating
the operation of snowmobiles prior to the winder of 1970.
Chief Kraus's request for "No Parking" regulations on both sides
of Garnet Drive was discussed. Ald. Wollman moved to defer action
. on this matter until the next meeting of this Committee. Seconded by
Ald. Sapp. Motion carried.
Ald. DeBack reported to the Committee on the renaming of a portion
of Kelsey Drive and Muskego Dam Drive. The name changes will be
considered along with many others at a future meeting.
Seventeen Tess Corners Rescue Call Reports were reviewed and approved
for payment.
Building Inspector Lee appeared to request a new plat map to be used
for the issuance of house numbers. He was requested to obtain costs
and report back to the Committee.
A letter from Wisconsin Electric Power Co., dated February 24, 1970,
regarding the lighting of the City entrance at Highway 24 near
Crowbar Road. The cost of this sign would be $291.00 installation
cost and $4.55 per month. Ald. Sapp moved to table this request.
Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
A letter addressed to Ald. Sapp from the Little Muskego Lake Association
regarding a pollution problem in Kingston's Bay was read. Ald. Sapp
moved to refer this matter to the Public Welfare Committee for their
• attention. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
Ald. Wollman moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 10:00 P.M.
