MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 18, 1970
The meeting was called to order at 7:37 P.M. by Chairman O'Connell.
Also present were Mayor Wieselmann, Aldermen Burgermeister, Wollman
and Sapp and Building Inspector Lee.
• The minutes of the previous meeting held on February 4, 1970 were
reviewed and placed on file.
Nine (9) Tess Corners Rescue Reports were reviewed and eight were
approved for payment.
Six (6) Tess Corners Fire Reports were reviewed and placed on file.
The Police Dept. Report for January, 1970, was reviewed and placed
on file.
Mr. and Mrs. Diedrich, Mr. David Beierle and Dr. Delp appeared to
discuss the renaming of Racine Ave. between Highway 24 and the
. new Highway "Y". A letter from an interested citizen was also read.
Chairman O'Connell suggested that the Committee consider some
alternative possibilities since there was a difference of opinion
as to renaming this street "Pioneer Strip". was the Committee's
decision to recommend that the Council at its next meeting consider
three possible names:
1. Horn Field Dr.
2. Main St.
3. Pioneer Dr.
A letter from the State of Wisconsin, Dept. of Transportation, dated
February 6, 1970, regarding the installation of "Fire Truck Entrance"
signs was read. Since the State has reasons for not wanting these
signs installed, a copy of this letter will be forwarded to the
Tess Corners Fire Dept.
Chief Kraus appeared to discuss the possibility of a. Trespass Ordinance.
Ald. Wollman moved to recommend that the Rules, Laws & Ordinance
Committee consider this ordinance. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion
carried.
• A request from Chief Kraus, dated 2/10/70, regarding "No Parking"
regulations on both sides of Garnet Dr. was discussed. The Committee
members will view the area and make a determination at the next
meeting.
Building Inspector Lee appeared to request that certain changes to
the Building Code be considered. Chairman O'Connell moved that
we recommend that Rules, Laws & Ordinance consider this request.
• Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
Ald. Sapp moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 10:22 P.M.
