• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 21, 1970
The meeting was called to order at 7:32 P.M. by Chairman O'Connell.
Also present were Aldermen Burgermeister, Wollman and Sapp.
. The minutes of the previous meeting held on January 7, 1970 were
reviewed and placed on file.
Chief Utpatel and Assistant Chief Bierbach of the Tess Corners Fire
Dept. appeared to review and discuss the 1970 contract with their
department. Chief Utpatel requested that "Mutual Aid with Milwaukee
County" be included. It was agreed that except for the foregoing
change,the balance of the contract was correct.
The request for a Fireworks Ordinance was discussed. Ald. Sapp
moved to r- to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee for con-
sideration. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
Chairman O'Connell advised the Committee that the Icetronauts Club
will be numbering the snowmobiles owned by the members of the club
in an effort to make the snowmobiles more easily identified. Chairman
O'Connell suggested that the Committee take no action at this time,
thereby giving the club's numbering system an opportunity to eliminate
the problem of the numerous complaints.
Eighteen (18) Tess Corners Rescue Reports were reviewed and approved
for payment.
Six (6) Tess Corners Fire Reports were reviewed and placed on file.
Chairman O'Connell read a letter from the Dept. of Natural Resources.
A letter from Building Inspector Lee, dated 12/9/69, regarding a
Flammable Liquids Code, was read. Ald. Sapp moved to refer this
request to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee for consideration.
Seconded by Ald. Wollman, motion carried.
Proposed street name changes were discussed. The Committee agreed to
recommend to the Common Council the street name changes:
Old "Y" (Racine Ave.) from Illendale intersection north to city
limits, change to Hillendale Dr.
• Old "Y" (Racine Ave.) from S.T.H. 24 north to new "Y", change to
Lions Park Dr. or Lions Drive.
Old "Y" (Racine Ave.) from Highway 24 south to new "Y". , change to
Horn Field Dr. or Horn Drive.
Ald. Sapp moved to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Ald. Wollman.
Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:25 P.M.
