PSM196911040 PUBLXC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 4, 1969 The meeting was,called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman O'Connell. Also present were Aldermen Burgermeister, Wollman and Sapp. • The Minutes of the previous meeting, held on October 22, 1969, were reviewed and placed on file. In regard to the Police Department proposal dated September 11, 1969, requesting the installation of speed restriction signs on Woods Road and stop signs on Muskego Drive, as discussed at our last meeting, Ald. Burgermeister stated that City Attorney Buckley had advised him that any new signs would require action by the Common Council. Ald. Burgermeister suggested that all aldermen search their wards and advise the Traffic Division of the Police Department of any areas requiring new signs, so that if a new resolution is necessary the City Attorney can include all of them in one resolution. Sinch this Committee had requested the Public Works Committee to consider this request, Ald. Wollman moved to defer all action on this matter • until such time as the Public Works Committee and the Police Depart- ment have met and had an opportunity to discuss this matter. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried. The Police Department proposal dated November 4, 1969, regarding street name changes, was discussed. A motion was made by Ald. Sapp to defer all action on this matter until such time as we were able to confer with the Police Department regarding this request. Seconded by Ald. O'Connell. Motion carried. Ald. Sapp will confer with Chief Kraus and Lt. Kass and report back to this Committee at the next meeting. The Police Department Report for October, 1969, was reviewed and placed on file. Ald.
