PSM19690402PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 2, 1969
The meeting was called to order at 7:40 P.M.
Present were Chairman Linck, Aldermen Wollman and Burgermeister, Police
Chief Kraus, Building Inspector Lee and Mr. Gottfried..
Minutes of meeting held March 16, 1969 were approved and placed on file.
• Twelve (12) Rescue Reports were reviewed and approved for payment.
It was brought to the attention of the Chief of Police that the water
patrol enforcement on Little Muskego Lake has not been strict enough
during the past year and it was advised by him that this would be
investigated by the department.
Chief Kraus also advised the Committee that E. J. Salentine would not
continue his previous committment to the department in trading of Police
Dept. vehicles every four months at their previous agreement of $575.00
but that for the forthcoming year the price would be $900.00. It was
therefore recommended by the Chief that bids be let for such vehicles
by April 30, 1969, and that the delivery date should be within ten days
•of July 1, 1969. It was pointed out that in order to protect the City
the variance should not be in excess of ten days before July 1, 1969,
nor ten days after July 1, 1969. He also suggested that he would like
to stay in the Pontiac, Dodge, Buick or Oldsmobile lines due to higher
trade-in value of the present vehicles.
Ald. Linck moved to approve the Chief's recommendations to the Finance
Committee for letting bids. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
Ald. Linck moved to recommend to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee
the adoption of the amendments to the Building Code as submitted by
