PSM19690108PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO • MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 8, 1969 The meeting was called to order at 7:45 P.M. by Chairman Linck. • Also present were Aldermen Cooley, Wollman, Burgermeister and Police Chief Kraus. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and placed on file. s The Muskego and Tess Corners Fire Dept. Monthly Reports were read and placed on file. A letter from Chief Kraus requesting purchase of a 1969 Pontiac was discussed. Linck moved, seconded by Wollman, that the Finance Committee approve the purchase of this vehicle. Motion carried. A letter from Chief Kraus regarding the placing of a new type of buoy on our three lakes was reviewed. Linck moved, seconded by Wollman, that the Finance Committee order these buoys as soon as possible as the estimated delivery time is three months, this to enable the placement of the buoys before summer. Motion carried. • Linck moved, seconded by Cooley, to recommend to the Finance Committee • approval of a Radar Maintenance Contract with Stark Electronics. Motion carried. Building Inspector Lee arrived about 8:30 P.M. with the resignation of his Assistant, Paul Kowalkowski. The Committee discussed the hiring of a replacement and will again discuss the matter at their next meeting. Wollman moved, seconded by Linck, that Chief Kraus may hire the additional patrolman authorized for the Police Department by the Common Council at their meeting of November 26, 1968, effective date to be February 17, 1969, in order that the new officer may attend the Police Training School that commences on that date.
