PSM19680619PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO • MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 19, 1968 The meeting was called to order at 8:25 P.M. Present were Aldermen Wollman, Burgermeister and Cooley. Police Chief Kraus was also present. • Alderman Wollman moved to recommend to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee that Muskego Drive be designated a "thru highway" so that proper stop signs may be posted at streets that intersect with Muskego Drive. Seconded by Alderman Cooley, motion carried. Ald. Cooley moved to recommend to the Public Works Committee that they direct the Dept. of Public Works to install "no parking" signs on Muskego Drive around the park areas as per the traffic survey submitted by Chief Kraus. Seconded by Ald. Wollman, motion carried. The scuba diving ordinance revision was discussed with Chief Kraus. A motion was made by Ald. Cooley, seconded by Wollman, recommending to the Finance Committee that $1,716 be transferred from the General • Fund to the Police Dept. Building and Capital Improvement Account to pay for blacktopping the Police Dept. parking lot later this year. This request is based on the maximum estimated per sq. ft. cost.
