PSM19671106PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO • MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 6, 1967 Chairman Roland Linck called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M. Present were Chairman Roland Linck, Alderman S. Robert Lentini, Alderman Frank Narlock, Mayor Jerome Gottfried and Police Chief Kraus. The minutes of the previous meeting held on October 16, 1967, were read. Alderman Linck moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Alderman Lentini, motion carried. A request by Police Chief Kraus for expenditures on the police department building was discussed. Some of the estimated cost listed seemed to be high. Police Chief Kraus agreed to ask for more bids on these items. Alderman Linck moved to recommend approval by the Finance Committee of the request to authorize the transfer of $3,274.50 from the Police Department salary account #601 to Account #616, Housing Maintenance, for expenditures necessary to bring the police department building up to a minimum standard of operating efficiency. Seconded by Alderman Narlock, motion carried. • A report of a shooting incident near the Schultz Rifle Range was reviewed. Alderman Narlock moved to recommend to the Common Council that the license of this shooting range be temporarily suspended pending an investigation. Seconded by Alderman Linck. Motion carried. The Tess Corners rescue squad report through October 10 was reviewed. Alderman Lentini moved to recommend to the Finance Committee the payment of this report. Seconded by Alderman Narlock, motion carried. The Constable's October report was reviewed. Alderman Linck moved to recommend to the Finance Committee payment of this report. Seconded by Alderman Lentini. Motion carried. • Nine zoning violations were received from Zoning Officer Gerald Lee and placed on file. The Civil Defense report was received and reviewed.
