PSM19670321PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 21, 1967
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Linck at 4:30 P.M.
Present were Chairman Linck, Alderman Lentini, Mayor Gottfried and
Building Inspector Lee.
• The Building Inspector reports were reviewed by the Committee and
placed on file.
Mr. Lee reported that in 1960, the Metropolitan Builders Association
requested that the cities in the metropolitan area adopt a uniform
Building Code. Eleven communities joined together and requested that
each community allow $100.00 to form and finance a commission to
draw up a uniform Building Code. After four drafts, the Committee
of the Metropolitan Builders Association reviewed the final uniform
code and it was their suggestion that the code be adopted as submitted
by the Commission. Inspector Lee felt that the Committee should
recommend that $100.00 should be allotted for the purpose of joining
this organization and also pay the $18.00 per year dues in order that
the City of Muskego would have a voice on any changes or amendments
of this Code and be a participating member in this organization.
• Alderman Linck moved to recommend that $100.00 be allotted for
membership in this organization and the $18.00 be paid for the first
year's dues. Seconded by Alderman Lentini, motion carried.
The Rescue Reports from the Tess Corners Fire Department were reviewed.
Alderman Linck moved to recommend payment, seconded by Alderman
Lentini, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed a communication from the Little Muskego Lake
Yacht Club and it was felt that a member of the Yacht Club should
attend a future meeting of the Safety Committee.
A communication was received from the State Conservation Dept. regarding
State Boating Regulations. This will be reviewed by the Committee.
A discussion took place in regard to the 14-day quarantine of a cast
that the Humane Officer has in custody took place.
The Water Patrol and equipment were discussed. Alderman Linck moved
to order flags and first aid kits for the Water Patrol. Seconded
by Alderman Lentini, motion carried.
• The Boating Ordinance was discussed and it was decided to hold a
special meeting regarding same on March 29, 1967, at 7:00 P.M.
A proposed resolution to abandon the present lighting district as
of June 1, 1967, was discussed. Alderman Lentini moved to recommend
adoption of this resolution, seconded by Alderman Linck. Motion
carried.
Alderman Linck moved to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Alderman
Lentini. The meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
S. Robert Lentir4 Acting Sec'y.
