PSM19660920PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO • MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 20, 1966 The meeting was called to order at 4:30 P.M. Present were Chairman Linck, Alderman Lentini, Alderman Weaver and Mayor Gottfried. The Safety Committee will contact the Public Works Committee regarding the posting of new speed limits as was approved by the Council a few months ago. A& The College Ave. speed limits were discussed. Reference was made to a letter from Donald DeBruin, City Clerk, City of New Berlin. Secretary Weaver to write and explain recommendation of the Safety Committee to leave the speed limit "as is" and explain our belief that the problem is one of law enforcement, particularly with heavy trucking. The Tess Corners Rescue calls were 12 in number. Secretary Weaver moved that one report be returned for clarification and to accept the remaining by referring to the Finance Committee for their approval. Seconded by Chairman Linck, motion carried. The Tess Corners Fire run report was received and placed on file. Mayor Gottfried presented some preliminary thoughts regarding the 1967 budget. A special meeting to be called after contacting various department heads. • Communications regarding Safety and Welfare Committee interests were received and placed on file.
