PSM19660713Public Safety Meeting of July 13, 1966, 7:35 P.M., with Ald. Weaver, Ald. Lentini and Chairman Linck and Mayor Gottfried present. • Ordinance #48 was discussed as to age requirement of people in a boat while water skiing. Mayor Gottfried will write to various communities about their water skiing regulations. Ald. Weaver reported he had contacted Constable Bohlman about shirts, hats and hat badges for the Water Patrol Officers. Also, two civil • defense radios were furnished for water patrol officers. Constable Bohlman appeared before the committee and a discussion of general problems was held - parking around Mus'cego Shores, Hillview, etc. Traffic, motorcycle's mufflers, speeding and tailgating of gravel trucks was brought to the attention of this committee at the request of Ald. Sivier Joost. Chairman Linck made a motion that a letter be written to Sheriff Baird and also to the State Patrol bringing this matter to their attention. Wauer's dump site was discussed. Gerald Lee's recommendations will be sent to Mr. Wauer. Log record sheets from Anthony Carlo, Kenneth Bloch and Gay Ricker were received and placed on file. Inspector Lee's letter to Humble Oil Company concerning improperly erected • signs at the station located on Lannon and Highway 24 was read. Received communication from Mrs. Howard Klamrowski stating near drown- ing and no life guard on duty. Communications: Gerald Lee - Ignasiak's Dump, "Reef Sign", Hooks junk cars, Schwitztenberg ca s on property, Art Miller regarding number of dogs on his property,a 9tter to Mr. J. Stein regarding property in Fountainwood Subd., which was declared a public nuisance. Speed traffic posting on Field Drive was discussed by the committee and agreed that road should be posted.
