• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 25, 1966
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Linck at 7:40 P.M.
Present were Chairman Linck, Alderman Lentini, Alderman Weaver
and Mayor Gottfried.
Mr. Trepanier appeared before the Committee in regard to the
Civil Defense Float Exhibit to be displayed this Memorial Day.
The general theme is to be "Honor the Dead by Protecting the
Living". Most of the material is donated but there would be
some expense for bunting and signs to explain the process of
survival as presented by the Civil Defense. Alderman Lentini
moved that Mr. Trepanier be given up to $25•00 for the purpose

exhibit the float near the curb at the Jerome Drug lot for the
balance of Memorial Day and be then removed that evening.
At 8:15 P.M. the Water Patrol Officers appeared before the
Committee in various matters. Insurance against vandalism is
desired by Officers Anthony Carlo, Gay Ricker and Arthur Heiden.
The Aud-Mar Beach area hazards were discussed. The Swimming
Beach Ordinance to be made available to all Officers. Radio
• Communication is desired and there is a possibility that the
Civil Defense Dept. has some walkie-talkie equipment available.
Boat Livery License Permits of the State Ordinance to be made
available.
A suggestion was made by the Water Patrol Officers that an
Amendment should be created to the original Boating Ordinance
limiting the hours of water skiing from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
A monthly report of the Officerts log is desired by the Committee
and it was agreed to by the Patrol members.
Mr. Anthony Carlo expressed his personal opinion that $100.00
for patrolling of Lake DeNoon is insufficient for the task
performed.
An Ordinance to amend an Ordinance regulating the parking of
automobiles on public bridges or parking distance from a bridge
was discussed. Alderman Lentini moved for recommendation
of adoption of Ordinance #36 by the Council. Seconded by
Alderman Linck, motion carried.
A copy of a letter sent to the Waukesha 3heriffta Department
listing all officer of the Water Patrol, dated May 23, 1966, was
presented and placed on file. A copy of a letter to Mr. Ray
• Salentine regarding his spetic system from Gerald Lee, Bldg.
Inspector was placed on file. A list of violations and
communications from Gerald Lee was placed on file.
Dog crates or cages specs and prices from Kupper Cooping Co.,
3235 W. Burham st., Milwaukee,to be sent to Mr. Kelly, Humane Officer.
State Plumbing Law regarding a Third -Class City was read. A system
of waterworks or sewerage requires licensed supervisors who shall be
licensed plumbers.
The channel behind the Sachaczak residence, W182 S6539 Muskego Dr.,
that had been inspected by the Committee on Monday, May 23, was
discussed by the Committee.
\Lots in MaeLen Meadowa, Fountainwood, and a Lot located on Richdorf
Dr. and Highway Y, East, was brought to the attention of the
Committee as a flooded nusiance by Alderman Weaver. Action was
`deferred until further information on ordinance specifications
be obtained.
Alderman Weaver moved that the meeting be adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
