PSM19660428SAFETY COMMITTEE -CITY OF MUSKEGO �(;�0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 28, 1966 3:00 P.M. Present were Chairman Linck, Alderman Lentini, Alderman Weaver and Mayor Gottfried. Alderman Weaver accepted the position of Secretary for the Committee. The rescue squad report was read. Alderman Weaver moved that the report be accepted and recommended that payment be approved by the Finance Committee. Seconded by Alderman Lentini and the motion carried. A letter from Attorney Hippenmeyer regarding the question of appointment of water safety patrol officers. It was recommended that this matter come under the jurisdiction of the Fire and Police Commission. The letter was referred to the Police and Fire Commission. The meeting date for the Safety Committee was set for the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at 7:30 P.M. The Committee examined the Humane Officerts report for the month of March. Alderman Lentini moved that the report be approved and referred to the Finance Committee for approval of payment. A letter regarding a dog problem of a citizen, Mrs. B. Wersils of W192 S7351 Bay Shore Dr. received April loth and placed on file. A letter written by Mayor Gottfried regarding extension of street lighting district because of a request by petitioners was read. Copy of letter placed on file. The Constable report for March was read by all Committee men. Chairman Linck moved that payment be recommended to the Finance Committee. The problem of a ..•emporary replacement Assistant Building Inspector was discussed and deferred to the next meeting. The Building Inspectorts Report regarding the condition of the City Hall was reviewed - changes in sanitary facilities and suggestions were made by various members of the Committee upon inspection of the premises. Civil Defense Directorts request for funds for forthcoming Memorial Day exhibit was discussed and contact shall be made to clarify the Committeets feelings.
