MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 24, 1966 - 7:00 P.M.
Present were Chairman Hudziak and Alderman Bostater
• Mr. Robert Williams and Mr. Geprge Trepanier attended the
meeting to explain more of the details regarding matching
funds.
Since the Selma incidents the Federal Government has dis-
19 matching funds for riot control equipment, Therefore
certain equipment desired by the auxiliary police will not
be eligible for matching funds.
If the City would pass a travel ordinance, specifying
conditions for payment of travel expenses, the Federal
Government would provide matching funds for Civil Defense
purposes.
Mr. Trepanier has a manual outlining the general conditions
for matching funds.

When the City decides to build a police communication facility
it would be desirable to consult with the State Civil Defense
organization in the selection of an architect to work to
government requirements for matching funds.
