MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD NOVEMBER llth, 1965
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hudziak at
6:50 P.M.
• Present were Chairman Hudziak, Alderman Bostater, Alderman
Wieselmann and Mayor Gottfried.
Communication from Mayor Gottfried to Sheriff Baird concerning
traffic on Highway 24 through Muskego from Highway Y east
to Lannon Drive and through Tess Corners on Highway 24 was
read. A reply from Sheriff Baird was read and to be placed
on file.
Communication from the Public Welfare Committee concerning
the intersection of County Trunk 00, State Highway 36 and
State Highway 45 was read. Motion was made by Chairman
Hudziak to write to the State Highway Commission to secure
Information as to what action is being taken to lessen or
eliminate the dangerous situation at this intersection.
Seconded by Alderman Wieselmann and carried.
• Communication from Gary Rector was read relative to
establishing police protection. He suggested a minimum
part-time police force for the City of Muskego. He stated
that he felt a full-time force was not justified for a
rural suburban community.
Records of the Constable Work Log and his assistants were
received and to be placed on file.
Communication from Raymond Baseler, President of the Muskego
Volunteer Fire Department, concerning the installation of a
red flashing signal on Highway 24 was read. When fire trucks
are entering on Highway 24 a dangerous condition exists and
should be rectified. To be deferred to the next meeting
pending further information.
Insurance coverage for the fire departments was discussed.
It was decided to investigate increasing the minimum
liability insurance of both fire departments and rescue
service.
A motion was made by Alderman Bostater to adjourn, seconded
by Chairman Hudziak. The meeting adjourned at 7:50 P.M.
