PSM19651021PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 21, 1965•
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hudziak at 6:55 P.M.
Present were Chairman Hudziak, Ald. Bostater, Ald. Wieselmann,
and Mayor Gottfried.
The Public Hearing notice that had been prepared and was ready
for mailing was objected to by Mayor Gottfried. He felt that
the words Fire and Police Commission were not relative to the
Hearing and that it stated the Common Council and Mayor were
advocating a full time Police Department. Chairman Hudziak
agreed. Alderman Wieselmann disagreed. Alderman Bostater
thought there was a possibility it could be misinterpreted.
Alderman Bostater then revised the notice since Mayor Gottfried
said the new notice could be prepared and ready for mailing in
about two hours by the Clerk's Office. Chairman Hudziak moved
that the revised notice be sent, seconded by Ald. Bostater.
Chairman Hudziak requested that the Committee ask Attorney
Hippenmeyer to be present at the Public Hearing on October
• 28, 1965 to answer legal questions.
The Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department report was received
and placed on file.
Reports of the City of Muskego Constable and his assistants
were received and placed on file.
Communication from Alderman Weaver relative to street lighting
was discussed. Chairman Hudziak moved to defer to a later
date, seconded by Ald. Bostater, carried.
Motion was made by Ald. Bostater to adjourn. Seconded by
Chairman Hudziak. Carried.
Meeting adjourned at 8:50 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Donald E. Wieselmann, Sec'y.
