PUBLIC SAFETY MEETING - CITY OF MUSKEGO
• MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD OCTOBER 4th, 1965
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hudziak at 7:05 P.M.
• Present were Chairman Hudziak, Alderman Bostater, Alderman
Wieselmann and Mayor Gottfried.
Communication to Mr. Charles Hudson relative to a meeting with
• him on October 14th at 8:30 P.M. was the first order of business.
Since Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department has purchased rescue
equipment, it was suggested that Mr. Hudson be called informing
him that the meeting be postponed, pending meeting with Tess
Corners Volunteer Fire Department.
Budgets and cost figures of several surrounding communities
regarding their Police Departments were viewed.
Due to the figures presented and the gravity of the particular
business at hand, the motion was made by Alderman Wieselman to
hold a Public Hearing dealing with the matter of police
protection on October 28th, 1965, at one of the schools in
our city to inform the people and get opinions on their desires,
that the information be given to the Tri Town News, The Hub, and
The Waukesha Freeman so that it gets into the next three issues.
Seconded by Alderman Bostater. Carried. Discussion followed
as to what steps would be taken to get the information to all
the citizens of the city. A mailing with some information is to
be prepared and sent to every home prior to the meeting.
Alderman Bostater recommended that we meet with Attorney
Hippenmeyer to become better informed on this metter of the
Fire and Police Commission and its duties and to begin planning
for the coming Public.Hearing. The meeting date was set for
October 7th at 7:00 P.M.
Motion was made by Alderman Bostater, seconded by Alderman
Wieselmann to adjourn.
The meeting adjourned at 8:20 P.M.
