CALL TO ORDER
President Robertson called the meeting to order at 5:02 pm.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
ROLL CALL
Present were Trustees Robertson, Schaefer, O'Bryan, Stuart, Keil, Darkow, Alderman
Hammel, and Library Director Loeffel. Trustee Konkel was excused. Trustee Tomaszewski
arrived late.
STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE
Director Loeffel stated that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the open meeting law.
PUBLIC COMMENT
APPROVAL OF MINUTES from December 20, 2016
Trustee Darkow made a motion to APPROVE THE MINUTES from December 20, 2016,
Trustee Stuart seconded.
Motion Passed 7 in favor.
LIBRARY FINANCIAL REPORTS from December 2016
Trustee Schaefer made a motion to place on file the LIBRARY FINANCIAL REPORTS
from December 2016, Trustee Darkow seconded.
Motion Passed 7 in favor.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Information
President Robertson appointed Trustees O'Bryan, Konkel, and Darkow to a task force that will
interview the three architectural firms submitting proposals. The task force will make a
recommendation at the February 2017 Library Board meeting.

Circulation supervisor job description
Trustee O'Bryan made a motion to approve the Circulation supervisor job
description, Trustee Schaefer seconded.
Motion Passed 7 in favor.
Trustee Tomaszewski arrived at this time.
NOTICE OF CLOSED SESSION
2017 Library Director performance evaluation goals
Trustee Schaefer made a motion to enter closed session pursuant to: the provisions
of Wis. Stats. Section §19.85(1)(c), which authorizes a governmental body, upon
motion duly made and carried, to meet in closed session to consider employment,
promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee
over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, more
specifically discussion of the 2017 Library Director performance evaluation goals.
Trustee Stuart seconded. Motion passed 7 in favor.
Upon conclusion of the closed session, the Library Board will convene in open
session to consider its public agenda, including motions to recommend approval or
rejection of the above-listed deliberations or any of the public agenda items that have
not been acted upon.
Upon reconvening into open session, at 5:57 pm, Trustee Schaefer made a motion to
approve the modified 2017 Library Director performance evaluation goals, Trustee
Darkow seconded.
Motion Passed 8 in favor.
