1. Call to order – Treasurer Ron Rivard called the meeting to order at 7:02pm
2. Roll call – present were: Board Members: Joseph Boschert, Richard Brunk, Sylvia Gould, Anni Lundgren, Ron Rivard,
Alderman Dan Soltysiak, and Library Direct Jane Genzel
3. Pledge of Allegiance – Recited by all in attendance
4. Statement of public notice Given in accordance with the open meeting law on June 14, 2010 per Director Genzel
5. Next regularly scheduled meeting June 23, 2010
6. Old Business:
Discuss open library staff position – Discussion ensued
- Motion made by S. Gould for the Library Board to recommend to the Finance Committee: the establishment of the
“Financial manager Position”. Seconded by R. Rivard. Discussion.
- Motion made by Alderman Soltysiak to amend the recommendation to include the specific job description as stated
in the “Business Manager Library Director Profile” previously established by the Library Board in May, 2009.
Seconded by J. Boschert. Amendment Approved 6-0. Discussion.
- Amended Motion defeated 5-1, Alderman Soltysiak voted in favor.
- Motion made by J. Boschert to recommend promotion of Librarian II to Librarian III. Seconded by S. Gould.
Discussion.
- Motion deferred until next meeting - June 23, 2010.
-Motion made by A. Lundgren to recommend refilling the open clerk position. Seconded by S. Gould. Discussion.
- Motion defeated 6-0.
-Motion made by J. Boschert to recommend to the Finance Committee to create a new position as stated in the City
of Muskego Position Description – “Library Business Manager” Seconded by Alderman Soltysiak. Discussion.
- Motion made by Alderman Soltysiak to amend the recommendation to include deferring decision on open clerk
position until later date. Seconded by S. Gould. Discussion.
- Amendment approved 6-0
- Amended Motion approved 6-0
7. Motion to adjourn – Motion to adjourn made by J. Boschert, Second by Alderman Soltysiak. Approved 6-0.
