lbm20091029MUSKEGO PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD Muskego Public Library Room #6 October 28, 2009 1. Call to Order: President D. Dominski called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM. 2. Roll Call: Also present were N. Borgman, J. De Vito-Scalzo, S. Gould, K. Hammitt, K. Huebner, R. Jankowski and Director J. Genzel. R. Brunk and R. Rivard were absent. 3. Pledge of Allegiance: recited. 4. Statement of Public Notice: Given in accordance with the open meeting law on October 24, 2009. 5. Approval of Minutes: N. Borgman moved to approve minutes of the Septem ber 23, 2009 meeting and K. Hammitt seconded. Motion carried. 6. Next Meeting Scheduled November 18, 2009. 7. Treasurer’s Report: R. Jankowski moved and N. Borgman seconded a motion to approve payment of October expenses of $64,561.74. Motion carried. R. Jankowski moved and N. Borgman seconded a motion to approve payment of WCFLS October expenses of $2,983.45. Motion carried. 8. Communications a. Communications: Received a Thank You letter from the Muskego food pantry. b. Guest Comments: None. c. Comment Forms: Forms were circulated. 9. Old Business a. Long Range Plan: Tom Hennen, WCFLS Director is currently working on Mukwonago and Butler LRPs. He would like to start with us in February. He presented an overview of the last LRP. We should review the plan objectives and prepare for a lot of work starting in February. b. FOL: Planning for Murder & Mayhem continues. c. Trust Fund: $12,894.96. d. Librarian’s Report: Terry Fisk is coming to talk about paranormal activity for the Halloween program. e. Interlibrary Cooperation: None. f. Cell Phone Use Policy: After much discussion on policy language K. Hammitt moved for approval of first reading and S. Gould seconded. Motion was carried. Closed Session Please take notice that following Old Business as authorized by Law, the Library Board will convene, upon passage of the proper motion, into closed session pursuant to: Wis. Stats., §19.85 (1)(c), Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, more specifically to discuss the assignment of non-supervisory tasks to a union represented staff. Action may be taken in closed session. The Library Board will then reconvene into open session to continue with agenda items. N. Borgman moved to convene into closed session and K. Hammitt seconded. All were in favor. Open Session N. Borgman moved to reconvene into open session and R. Jankowski seconded. The motion carried. 10. New Business: a. Resolve Pending Fine Disputes: None. b.
