Penny paired with Beth Bender from Sussex-Lisbon Library to give a workshop on
starting teen book discussion groups, advisory boards, and the importance of a teen area, no
matter how small. LCSE sponsored this at Franklin Library, and about 25 YA and children’s
librarians were there.
We had one Scout tour, and one visit by the Monday Moms’ group. Penny met with the
school district librarians.
Catalogers and interloan staff met, as well as APL. Menomonee Falls opened a new

videos on adaptive technologies, special education, and parental involvement. These are being
processed now, and we are planning a bibliography, display, and press release.

Artist of the Month, Anita Acharya, is a past student of Bert Ponzi. She took one Park ‘n
for St. Paul’s and Bay Lane schools, who are doing a 5m 8 6m grade “Book Bonanza,” where all
students read from the same list of books, and participate in spin-off activities.
The children’s area has a display for the Waukesha County Children’s Choice Award, and
