Approval of Minutes: Minutes of the'May 23,2001 meeting were approved on motion by C. Schwalbach, seconded by T Uttke. 6. Treasurer's Report: B. Yahr moved R. Jankowski seconded motion to approve payment Of 5. Next Meeting Scheduled: July 25, 2001 Yahr and Director H. Sanhuber R. Rammer arrived later. M. Mary has been preparing new fiction and non-fiction lists, and Jane and Tina are cqordinating a “staff We prepared informational packets for the Chamber of Commerce office: a guide to services; how to register for a “business” card, and lists of print and electronic resources available at the library. Charlene and Jane worked on the last two items. Tom has put up the extra shelving in the periodical area, and Linda and her crew have been doing some rearranging. We received a matted and framed original letter from Wisconsin author August Derleth, written to Mary to have a plaque made. Link’s mother, shortly before his death. It is hanging in the Wisconsin section, and we have asked the Friends Washa, which Penny can use during storyhours to introduce folk and fairy tales; a portable PA system from Ray The library received several other gifts since the last meeting: A large “wizard” puppet from Fred Christenson, which we can lend to community grclups; a copy of the children’s book Zink the Zebra, and a hand-painted wooden zebra, from cub scout Jake Starck. We’ve asked the FOL to have a plaque made, and we ant to use “Zink,” the spotted zebra, as the focus of a display in the children’s area on “individuality.” Our handsomely produced by Eagle Books in Hales Corners. The wooden lobby benches, and the upholstered new ewest board member, Rick Petfalski. brought us .a gift copy of Mother Nature Stodes to be Read Aloud, books area benches, gifts from the Friends, arrived. Y to a similar workshop held at Elm Grove. Rochesler library held a session on science fiction literature, and Holly received ten hours of Dale Camegie customer service training last month. Margot and Jane went Elaine, Jane and Penny attended. Holly is taking il class and will be using vacation to do the required papers. We received a check for $50 from WCFLS, in partial reimbursement for a workshop Charlene attended. The library was the lead story in last week’s Sun. including some color photos.
