Roll Call: Also present were D. Dominski. R. Jankowski, C. Schwalbach, T Uttke. C. Wichgen, B. 3. Statement of Public Notice: Given in accordance with the open meeting law on January 17.2001 4. Approval of Minutes: Minutes of the December 27,2000 meeting were approved on motion by C. 5. Next Meeting Scheduled: February 28, :2001. 6. Treasurer's Report: R. Christenson moved R. Jankowski seconded motion to approve payment of expenses for 2000 of $46.058.98. Motion carried. R. Christenson moved R. Jankowski seconded Jankowski seconded motion to approve 2000 Building expense of $828.00. Motion canied. B. Yahr motion to approve WCFLS expenses for 2000 of $734.75. Motion carried. R. FOL. Booth space is half filled. Call Dorothy Pratt to volunteer to work at the crafl fair b. Trust Fund: $31,621.31 as of the latest report. c. Librarian's Reporf Read and placed on file. Our share of the cost for full text databases is 8. Old Business $3,138. Lakeshores Medical is having a program on 1-30-01 at 7:OO PM. Library board policy changes and the state newsletter were distributed. d. WCFLS: R. Christenson and R. Jankowski signed WCFLS membenhip agreement. The Oconomowoc board voted not to accept the five standards. Holly is upset because we got extra funding because of the proposed standards. The system board will meet with with the funding aspect of the standards. They approved the original four standards and the Oconomowoc to determine the source of their refusal. The letter stated that they disagreed funding part did not change in the vetsions of the standards. Mandatory filtering and child protection act information is coming soon. We should be OK with the system we are using. 0 9. New Business a. Pending Fine Disputes: None. b. Automatioflechnology: E-books should be available now. No readers yet because of c. Long Range Planning: Survey forms are available and will be out until the end of March. d. Provision of Coffee: Drafl2 of our discussion was distributed for review next month. e. New Hires: Not finalized yet. It will be on next agenda. f. WCFLS Contract: Signed by R. C:hristenson and R. Jankowski. g. Election of Vice President: R. LIBRARIAN’S REPORT December. 2000 - January, 2001 Although December was a slow month, complicated by computer outages roof leaks, and snow losings, January has begun briskly, especially behind the scenes. Statistical and financial data is being t,thered for the state annual report, samples. manuals, and fixed asset revisions from the building project are being organized, plans are being made for on-going book displays, and mail. phone calls and visitors have taken time. Jane is working on the design of our Web page, Mary is compiling the results of the customer furniture for Chariene’s office has been receivedl, and she is reorganizing and unpacking. Since we moved in, satisfaction survey, and has completed lists of a)udiobooks and videos, to meet customer demands. The donatlons for resale have not been heavy, but dmations of materials, which may be added to our collection, have been. Among these are the art books of Harold Sanders, and over 120 on theater and motion pictures. A staff project is beginning to organize these on the compact shelving, check the catalog to see whether we already have them, and if we do, to check the condition of our copies. If we do not have them, bibliographic backlog (remember those twenty-four boxes we moved from my old office?) is nearly caught up. Tom Treba is records will be located, and they will be made ready for cataloging and processing. The children’s cataloging putting up the fill-in shelving we ordered last year, and we will be doing some final shifting. Penny and Sonia are working on spending the $1,100 donated by the disbanding Muskego Jaycees.
