LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
Augu!~tlSeptember. 2000
Parking lot patching is being done today, with the final 'lift? being scheduled for Friday.
The library will be closed. All staff membws have rescheduled their time, or are using
vacation, etc. to cover the day off. We am assured that Saturday will see things restored to
normal. Publicity was done, and fliers are1 up.
We received several gifts this month: A gardenia tree, a plant from Spikner's, two
wooden rocking horses for the children's section, from Don DesMonie of Big Bend. $300.00 from
former LB member, June Wolf, to be used for books-on-tape, and $100.00 from Win Peterson, to
be used for new books. We have also received many used children's books-in good
condition-from Holly's former advisor at UW-Milwaukee, Dr. John Stewig. He has been
weeding his "Center for Children's Literature" on campus, and, now that we have room. we are
able to accept his gifts.

the NetLibrary on-line type. and the Rocket e-book (hand-held device) variety, by the beginning
of the year, it is hoped.
