LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
MaylJune. 2000
This is exacerbated by vacations, as staff pinch hit for each other^
Everything in the back mom is moving slowly, as everyone spends much time out on the floor.
There have been a number of building prolAems. The HVAC system continues to be capricious.
and to take much maintenance staff time. The sewer backed up last week, and had to be
cleaned out. There seems to have been a deviation in the sewer lateral plans, so we are
pursuing those responsible. A camera will be here Friday to film the lateral's "insides." We're
still waiting for furniture. and for the lighting interface. A number of "punch list" items were
completed, including separate switches fcNr the lights in meeting rooms four-five. Staff electric

classical CDs. They are very welcome, eslpecially as we bought relatively few classics with
likely to be worn. Another excellent donation came from Don and Connie Carter, over fifly
budget money. Unfortunately, many book:bale donations do not reach this high standard.
People persist in giving us items which are musty, moldy, and insect-infested. We have juiced
garbage.
