Our last day of service will be April 1 I, and we will be closed April 12-29, with the donor reception to be held on Saturday night, the open house on Sunday afternoon, and grand opening on Monday, May I, 2000. The circ and reference desks are to be shipped about the 24m of March. We have not told the furniture company about our new, later, opening date. We are busy filling vacancies-the new library clerk and aide, and another aide to replace Marilyn Heikkinen, who had to quit, due to scheduling problems. Meeting room packets went out to all of the groups who have registered with us. They received a copy of the policy, a map, and an application form, with a notation of their meeting room assignment. Some movelclose publicity has gone out, along with an update ofthe “Frequently Asked Questions” handout. Jane is taking an ETN on library management. and a workshop on “Front Page,” which will allow her to update our lportion of the city’s Web page, and eventually, to create our own.
