I am holding them for an “opening day” display. We did send an article to the newspaper, and will do another when the books are ready to go out. We received a check for $125.00 from WCFLS for Children’s Book Week. We also received reimbursement from the Friends for reading group materials in the amount of $101 7.80. The intersystem borrowing agreement between WCFLS and Lakeshores was passed. Charlene and I, with very welcome input from the Mayor, are selecting meeting room furniture. The library meeting rooms will be very busy next year, as all city meetings after March 15m and until the remodeling of citly hall is done will be held there. Bert Ponzi’s paintings are on display this month. The record bins have been snappe:d up. As discussed earlier, we put a “free for hauling” sign on them, and they were spoken for in less than a week. As we paid $20.00 apiece for them in 1983 or :so, I think we got our money’s worth! The remaining records have gone to the historical society rummage sale. Penny attended children’s committee meetings. Jane went to workshops on proposal writing and Internet reference sources. Holly went to APL.
