LIEIRARIAN'S REPORT
.luly/August, 1999
This report is being composed after-the-fact, with the help of my colleagues.
Many thanks to Charlene for attending the library board and site meetings in my stead,
and to everyone who has done "extra" while I've been out. My office was festooned
with streamers and balloons when I returned, and I felt warmly welcomed. Thank YOU
for your cards and good wishes.
Donna is still out, but is home from the hospital, and hoping to return soon.
The large compact disk order has been placed; a bulk order for the best
discount.
Staff are targeting their hearts out. We're finding using the Model 61 1
application machine is light years faster than inserting targets manually.
The reference section projecit is nearing an end, thanks to Charlene and Linda.
The Lakeshores payment of $25,482.00 came from WCFLS.
This month's exhibit is by the Muckey 4H. Fred Washa and his crew displayed
scenes of the group's history and involvement in the community.
Our article in the city newsletter, due out about mid-September, focuses on
library funding sources, and mentions the Friends' fund drive.
We have all survived another summer reading program, and sign-up for fall
storyhours and reading groups is underway.
