LIBRP.RIAN’S REPORT
December, 1998/January, I999
Besides the regular storyhours and reading groups, we had two Scout toUrS.
Penny went to Hartland for a childnm’s services meeting, and attended the meeting Of
the Waukesha County Literacy Council.
Jane went to Tudor Oaks for thelr reading group’s meeting. They are planning a joint
reading group meeting with students at Bay Lane School, “Generations.”

materials which would meet public libraries’ selection criteria by avoiding anything which would

as for adult readers interested in religion.
We had an incident where a minor was handing out politicallpinspired business cards in
the library. Our present policy does not specifically cover this situation, and for our next
meeting, I will be proposing language take11 from the city’s Municipal Code to add to Library
Board Policy.
