February 26, 1997
1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by President Christenson at 7:00 P.M..
2. Roll Call: Also present were D. Carter, R. Jankowski, R. Rammer, R. Rasmussen, C. Schwalbach, C.
Stewart and Director H. Sanhuber. P. Martinez and B. Miller were absent.
3. Statement of Public Notice: Given on February 20, 1997.
4. Approval of Minutes: Minutes of the January 22, 1997 meeting were approved on motion D. Carter,
second C. Schwalbach.
5. Next Meeting Scheduled: March 26, 1997.
6. Treasurer's Report: R. Christenson moved, R. Jankowski seconded motion to approve expenses to
date of $36,670.99. Motion carried. R. Christenson moved, R. Jankowski seconded motion to approve
Federated System expenses to date of $65.26. Motion carried.
7. Communications: Received letter of resignation from P. Martinez.
a. Guest Comments: Mayor gave an update on the Mall purchase. Common Council approved an offer
to the owners and they have 10 days to respond. He met with Durrant to discuss issues. Asked for a
request for proposal for the library portion of the mall.
8. Old Business
a. FOL: 90 booths sold so far. Getting good cooperation from the High School. Journal-Sentinel will
send photographer Sunday morning.
b. Trust Fund: Balance of $45,100.11.
c. Librarian's Report: Read and placed on file. Distributed Waukie-Talkie.
d. WCFLS: Crossover borrowing charges in discussion. Dianne Mayo hired as automation consultant.
Board working on grants.
e. Automation: No Report.
