LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
August/September, 1996
Charlene attended a workshop on serving an aging population,
and Penny attended the Summer Reading Program Wrap at Sussex-
Lisbon's new library.
Jane is learning about new resources which will help us
enhance our collections in in women's, religious, business,
legal, and reference materials, through an ETN course.
children's, young adult, and adult reading groups. Three-year-
old storyhours begin in October.
Programming has begun again: preschool storyhours,
Jane is spending two hours a month at Tudor Oaks. The
volunteer who began their reading group has a new job, and can no
longer be involved.
Tudor Oaks and Stony Creek also receive deposit collections
of materials which we check out to their facilities for a month.
The thirty books which went to TO last month went out 125 times.
We received many hardcover donations this summer which were
used to replace worn copies in our collection. These have all
been processed, so when fiction barcodes begin running next week,
the correct copy numbers, which identify individual books, will
be included.
Charlene has finished the adult fiction series project, so
series numbers will also show on the barcodes as they're printed.
Barcode volunteers begin on Monday, September 30th.
This month's display is courtesy of the Muskego Creative
Photographers' Guild.
We received a $25.00 donation to the Trust Fund from the
City, in memory of former Alderman Roland Linck.
I will be on vacation the week of October 14th.
