MUSKEGO PUBLIC LIBRARY BUILDING COMMITTEE
MUSKEGO CITY HALL
June 26, 1996
1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by President Christenson at
7:00 P.M..
2. Roll Call: Also present were D. Carter, R. Jankowski, R. Rasmussen, B. Yahr
and Director H. Sanhuber. T. Berken and D. Hudzinski were absent.
3. Library Building Project: The contract is at the attorney's office. The
architects will be in City Hall on 6/25 and 6/26 to go over details of
the building program statement. Interior design people will do furniture
inventory to determine needs in new building. Discussed the program
statement and architect contract. Discussed financial planning for new
building. Who will lead fundraising. Possible business person lead? Check
with Chamber for ideas. Service clubs may help. Send press releases and
get info into newsletters asking for financial committee members. Put
collection jar in library and have one at Community Festival. Friends of
library should play a major role in fundraising.
