Carter, second R. Jankowski . Motion N. Berken, second J. Roberson to approve May expenditures of $34,264.37 and May Federated System expenditures of $1,384.24. Motion carried. Trust Fund balance of $37,692.30 as of 5/14. Librarian's report read and Final bill received from FOL Art Fair. Approximately $5,586 profit. placed on file. Distributed Waukie-Talkie and City ethics policy. Viewed Summer reading program materials. Federated System met in Muskego in May. Discussed proposed government fund cuts. Holly up to 361 in cataloging. Large print, Wisconsin collection and reference books still need to be input. Patron complaint that video fines are too high. Patron owes $11. D. Carter moved, C. Stewart seconded that board stands by it's fine pol icy. Motion carried. Nominating committee reported on officers for next year Secretary R. Jankowski and Treasurer N. Berken. Carter, second R. Jankowski. Motion carried. Reviewed 6/1 meeting with Jerry Olson of Durrant-Heike. Everyone satisfied that the board made the right choice of firms. Russ Jankowsk i Secretary 1 i f LIBRARIAN‘S REPORT Nay, 1995 0 bad news is that Katie Wernet.te‘s last day is Friday. The good news is that Thelma Anderson is back to work. The Penny went to county Children‘s Services and Special Users meetings. Charlene attended the WCFLS Multi-type library meeting, and APL was held at North Lake, and the WCFLS Board met here at Muskego. Library staff visited libraries at Whitewater and Kenosha. Oconomowoc, Bay View and Whitewater were visited by members of the Building Committee. The Junior High book group met, as did the adult book discussion group. A brief session on the Internet was held here, and Phyllis represented Muskego. Margot went to a session on customer satisfaction, and Jane went to a grant-writing workshop. Judy attended one of the “Soaring to Excellence” workshops. Children from Peace Little Lambs came for a storyhour. Penny Went to Tess Corners tmJ represent us at “Community Day.” and attended a workshop on s2rving the blind and visually impaired. Penny and Holly complet.2d the ETN course on genre fiction, We received our state aid payment, in the amount of $4,695, and our Lakeshores payment of $21,990. The display case in April was devoted to an exhibit by the Voluntary Action Center of Waukesha County, and to the county EPA, who did a Radon display. This month we showcase crafters from the Village Peddler Cooperative in Muskego. The Summer Reading Program materials are ready for distribution.
