i LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
February, 1994
Despite a winter which just seems to keep on coming, so did the
customers. We had a few "7ClO" days, and a monthly checkout of over
11,000. Saturdays have seen 300-350 visitors per day.
We received several wonderfu.1 gifts this month. Joan Dibb donated
money to purchase books on crassette in memory of her mother, Loretta
Jung, who enjoyed listening to books.
The Friends received a donat.ion from Russ and Donna Jankowski which
will be matched by AT&T.
Dr. Robert Chambers gave the Trust Fund a check for over $1,000, which
he said represented his proceeds from scrap metal collecting.
Linda reports that the adult. fiction is ready to be barcoded, except
for the box of problem cards she put on my desk, and the box of
ready to embark on adult not.-fiction next, which promises to be more
inventory cards which seem to have no book on the system. She is
trouble than the rest of the collection combined...
The February display by the Muskego Historical Society drew many
comments, and an article in the Sun. March is student art month, and
wild colors and designs have taken up residence, covering every
available surface.
Charlene Lenzen was mentioned as a source in a Milwaukee Journal
article on Muskego. She was on reference desk duty when asked to
provide background information.
Thanks primarily to the efforts of our part-timers, the 1991 magazines
have been discarded to make room for the 1994 issues.
Besides the annual numerical and statistical reports you will receive
