Meeting was called to order at 7:37 P.M. by president Christenson. Agenda was
approved on motion J. Wolf, second R. Jankowski. Corrected minutes of the
September 7 meeting were approved on motion J. Roberson, second R. Jankowski.
Next meeting scheduled November 2, 1993.
Treasurers report: Motion R. Christenson, second J. Wolf to approve September

FOL: Scarecrows are for sale in the library for $35. The art fair

September, 1993
Our busiest times have shifted to after school, evenings and

The adult book discussion group is meeting again on the second Tuesday

interest children in science. Penny attended a regional meeting.
The AARCS Users' meeting was held at Brookfield. APL met at New
Berlin. The reference services update took place at Waukesha.
Linda and Holly went to a wc'rkshop on introducing the public to a
computerized catalog.
Penny attended the zoo grant meeting and the WCFLS Special Needs and
Children's committee meetincis.
We received a $100.00 donation to the trust fund from Ruth Dague.

The meeting was called to order at €,:58 P.M. by Chairman D. Carter.
Don reported on his meeting with the library director of the Oconto Falls
city donated $500,000 without a referendum. Scott Paper was the largest
library. The funds to build the library came from a variety of sources. The
business contributor with $50,000. They used the public access television
channel for a telethon to raise funds and generated $120,000 in pledges.
The cost of the building was approxi.mately $65 square foot, considerably
less than the average for our area.
Don obtained a copy of the building program statement and other documentation
that was used by Oconto Falls. They also established a citizens advisory
committee for their project.
Ruth suggested we use FOL funds for public relations needs and contact
service clubs for their input.
Ruth, Don and Holly will work on Putllic Library Space Needs booklet steps
for a report at the next meeting.
