Russ Jankowski, Secretary I LIBRARIAN'S REPORT July, 1993 The weird summer of 1993 rolls on: our busiest ever, with no projects being "caught up" on, and a need to call people away from behind-the-scenes work, including automation. this month, promoting their activities and Civil War Days. Waukesha County Fair 4-H exhibit winners will have the August display. The Muskego Historical Society brightened the display case Holly and Charlene attended APL at Mukwonago. Among the announcements was a new county-wide discount from Baker & Taylor, one of our major vendors. The agreement includes free freight on some items. meeting, and Penny went to a meeting of the children's librarians. Charlene represented us at a system reference librarians' We have had several children's programs this month, including system-sponsored visits from Ben Bearskin of Wee @ Indians, and Mary Tooley's "Art i.n a Suitcase. I' Worm races, the junkyard Olympics, the Wild Ones' Reading group, family bedtime storyhours, and visits to Tot-Lot for storyhour have kept Penny hopping. Holly will be taking a course this Fall, "Children's Literature: the Last Five Years." She will also be revising the children's literature class she teaches for the university extension.
