LIBR.ARIAN'S REPORT
May, 1993
May and December are our quiet months; circulation was only
9,000, but it's term paper t.ime...
Our intersystem borrowing aj.d check arrived, $19,091.00.
Smoke detectors were install.ed, as recommended by the fire
department.
Mayor De Angelis toured the library and saw staff members in
their natural habitats, wart.s and all - including our backlogs.
The artist of the month was woodsmith Delbert Holtz.
Penny toured the school syst.em to publicize the summer reading
program, hosted a visit from Discovery Days, and starred in
"Adventure Day" at Tess Corners and Lakeview schools.
Holly and Charlene attended APL.
We took a field trip to Lake Geneva Public Library to see their
"intershelving," where adult: and children's nonfiction is
before asking for board input. We are not aware that many
together on the shelves. We need to mull over pros and cons
libraries do it, and written research seems practically nil.
