Meeting was called to order b!y President Ray Christenson at 7:30
p.m. The agenda was approved on motion of R. Leichtfuss, second
N. Berken. Minutes of the April 6 meeting were approved on
motion of P. Patterson and second by R. Jankowski. Both motions
were carried. Next meeting to be on June 1, 1993.
Treasurer's Report: Motion to approve April expenditures in the
amount of $21,284.66 by R. Christenson, second by P. Patterson;
Motion to approve April Federated System expenditures of $3,328.81
by R. Christenson, second by 12. Jankowski. Both motions were
carried.
Communications: A letter from Jane Roberson about her becoming
a grandmother and visiting he:c daughter.
Guest Comments: None
Old Business:
Friends of the Library: Trust fund balance of $23,128.38. Ray
said there was a good turn 0u.t for the landscape clinic programs
and he is preparing a program for next year.
0 Wisconsin Bell Matching Program donated $150.00 from the
Jankowski contribution to the Friends.
Librarians Report: Read and placed on file. There was a discus-
problems that may arise. It was agreed the policy should be

Interlibrary Cooperation: The WCFLS Trustees' Breakfast Meeting
held on May 1 was discussed and the censorship of books.
Automation: Linda has the new people trained and things are
getting back to normal. Charlene is learning the word processing
package and Holly is learning interlibrary loan, and getting
acquainted with using the modem.
Long Range Planning: There was no meeting today and we are still
waiting for the handbooks. Ray suggested we hold things in abey-
ance until fall. Pat suggested the Mayor and the Finance
Committee should be informed about our plans, and talk about
impact fees. Holly will try to arrange to have some of the
Board appear at the Finance Meeting on May 19 with her. She will
be contacting board members of this possibility as soon as she
can confirm the meeting.
New Business:
There was one fine dispute and P. Patterson made the motion

LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
April, 1993
Our state aid check arrived, $6,171.00.
The Friends received a check for $150.00 from Wisconsin Bell's
matching grant program.
Linda and volunteer, Teri Searing attended a workshop on WISCON,
MITINET, and will affect everything we add or delete from WISCAT.
